The collection

FIRENZE

Florentine architecture is lauded throughout the world, the city is something of a living museum filled with majestic buildings, picturesque palaces and iconic monuments. A city most famous for its art yet, for this collection Paula Vieira is reflecting on what frames these artworks.

The Vasari Corridor connects the Palazzo Vecchio with the Palazzo Pitti and was originally constructed by a nervous Duke scared of the public. It now stands alongside the Ponte Vecchio as a symbol of strength and architectural beauty, the fortified shapes that the bridge creates are represented in a unique, statement ring that mimics the flow of the architecture along with the important bond that the bridge creates.

In a city filled with Renaissance paintings, sculptures and classical buildings its sometimes easy to forget the art that showcases them. The frames that are individually carved, engraved and gilt-edged to create a piece that is almost as beautiful as the work it supports. It’s these little details that Paula has celebrated in this collection with a series of unique gold earrings and bold rings that further explore the idea of beauty in the (almost) everyday.

What are PVJ pieces made from?

Each piece is made of sterling silver, with a 24K gold-plated finish available on select styles. Materials and finish options are listed on each page.

Is your sterling silver certified?

Yes. Our sterling silver is assayed and hallmarked by the Contrastaria, Portugal's official assay office, run by INCM (Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda). Their mark is struck next to our own maker's mark. It is an independent guarantee from the State that the metal is 925 sterling silver, rather than simply our word for it. Hallmarking applies by law to silver pieces over 2 grams, so our smallest earrings carry the maker's mark alone.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Orders ship from our Atelier in Lisbon within 1 to 6 business days. Pickup from the Atelier and Portugal mainland orders over 120 EUR ship free; shipping elsewhere in the EU, Europe, the US and Canada is calculated at checkout.

Can I return or exchange my order?

Yes, standard orders can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of delivery, unworn and in original packaging. Custom sizes and bespoke pieces are final sale. Please email info@paulavieirajewellery.com to start a return.

How do I take care of my jewellery?

Handle it gently, remove it before bathing, sleeping or washing your hands, and keep it away from perfume and lotion. Store your pieces individually in a soft pouch and polish with a dry cloth to restore shine.
