Our complete gold ring making workshop is designed for couples looking to commemorate a special moment. Whether you're crafting your own wedding bands or simply celebrating something meaningful, the quiet setting of our Lisbon Atelier will offer you the chance to create and shape your own 19.2K solid gold rings by hand. No experience is required, just the two of you and the intention to create something lasting with one another.

How it works
Choose your date: Our gold ring making workshops take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2pm or 6pm at our Lisbon Atelier. If neither slot suits you, get in touch and we'll try to arrange an alternative for you.
Craft your rings side by side: Join Paula for a private, guided session where you and your partner shape and finish your own 19.2K gold rings together, with a ring box for each of your pieces.
Celebrate: End your session the Portuguese way, with something sweet to mark the moment.
The workshop is priced per person and excludes the cost of gold, which is calculated based on your ring size and paid at the end of the workshop, according to the daily gold quotation. More info below.

You’ll learn traditional techniques in a relaxed studio setting, with expert guidance and access to professional tools. At the end of the workshop, you'll have shaped your ring with your own hands, and taken with you a deeper appreciation for the craft.

Includes: a private workshop experience with full access to tools and equipment, personalised guidance and ring boxes.
Excludes: the cost of gold, calculated based on your ring sizes and paid for at the end of the workshop according to the daily gold quotation.
Meet your host, Paula.
Since 1994, Paula Vieira has crafted contemporary, one-of-a-kind jewellery in Portugal. Inspired by nature’s raw beauty, her collections blend expertise with noble materials to create timeless investment pieces.
Paula’s early teaching experiences shaped her career path. Since 1996, she has taught at various prestigious institutions including ESAD’s Jewellery degree in Porto and the Contacto Directo School. She continues to inspire students at the Jewellery Center in Lisbon, as well as in her atelier in the heart of the city.

Yes, our gold ring making workshop in Lisbon is designed for all skill levels, including complete beginners. You'll be guided through every step, from shaping to finishing your gold ring, in a relaxed and supportive setting, no matter your ability.
How long does the gold ring workshop take?
Our workshop runs for 3 hours and is full of immersive, hands-on crafting. During this time you’ll comfortably have enough time to shape and finish your own unique 19.2K gold ring.
Is this a private workshop, or can I book it without a partner?
The gold ring making workshop is a private, intimate experience, designed to guide you and someone special through the process of crafting your rings together, side by side. It's a favourite for couples marking an engagement, upcoming wedding, anniversary or milestone with something they made with their own hands.

Can my partner and I make each other's rings?
Absolutely. Many couples in our private gold sessions choose to craft each other's rings under Paula's guidance, which makes the experience even more personal.
Is the 19.2K gold included in the price?
The workshop fee covers your private session with Paula, full use of the Atelier's tools and equipment, personalised guidance throughout and ring boxes for your finished pieces. It doesn't include the gold itself, which is priced separately according to your ring size and paid at the end of the workshop.
How much will the 19.2K gold cost?
Gold quantity depends on your ring size, so the final cost can only be confirmed on the day against that day's gold quotation.

What language is the workshop taught in?
English or Portuguese, whichever feels most comfortable for you.
Where in Lisbon is the gold ring workshop held?
Our gold ring workshop takes place at our Atelier, nestled in the heart of Lisbon, Portugal, near Avenida de Roma.
What should I wear or bring to the workshop?
Everything you need is provided, including an apron, tools and materials, so there's nothing to bring along. It's genuinely hands-on work and can get a little dusty, so we'd suggest wearing something comfortable you don't mind getting a little bit messy and tying back long hair if you have it.
What if I need to reschedule my workshop booking?
Plans can change. Contact us at least 72 hours in advance, and we'll be happy to accommodate your request based on availability.
What if none of the available days or times work for me?
Regular sessions take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2pm or 6pm. If none of those slots work for you, we're happy to arrange a custom time that suits your schedule whenever possible.

Can I cancel my workshop?
Yes, here's our cancellation policy:
Up to 7 days before the scheduled day: full refund
Between 3 and 6 days before: 50% refund
Up to 2 days before: no refund
Do you offer other jewellery workshops in Lisbon?
Yes, alongside our gold ring workshop, we also offer a very popular silver ring workshop, plus tailored sessions built around specific interests. We also have a special Ring Kit for those not able to join us at the Atelier, which gives you the opportunity to make your own silver ring at home.
