Design and create your own silver ring in a hands-on ring making workshop at our Lisbon Atelier.
No experience is required; all you need is curiosity and a joy for creating something meaningful with your own hands. We'll guide you through every step of this creative experience, so you leave with a piece of jewellery you'll cherish forever.
How it works
Choose your date: Our regular silver ring making sessions take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2pm or 6pm at our Lisbon Atelier. If you can't join us during those times, get in touch and we'll try to arrange an alternative time for you.
Craft your ring: Join Paula at the bench for 3 hours of hands-on guidance in this creative experience, from shaping to finishing your own silver ring.
Celebrate: End your session the Portuguese way, with something sweet to celebrate your creation.

Meet your host, Paula.
Since 1994, Paula Vieira has crafted contemporary, one-of-a-kind jewellery in Portugal. Inspired by nature’s raw beauty, her collections blend expertise with noble materials to create timeless investment pieces.
Paula’s early teaching experiences shaped her career path. Since 1996, she has taught at various prestigious institutions including ESAD’s Jewellery degree in Porto and the Contacto Directo School. She continues to inspire students at the Jewellery Center in Lisbon, as well as in her atelier in the heart of the city.

FAQ
Is this ring making workshop suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. Our ring making workshop is designed for participants of all skill levels, including complete beginners. We'll guide you through the entire process, from start to finish, so it's approachable whatever your experience.
How long does the silver ring workshop take?
The workshop runs for 3 hours of immersive, hands-on crafting, which will give you enough time to shape and finish your own silver ring in a single session (lost-wax bookings run across two sessions; see below).
How much does the silver ring workshop cost?
The silver ring workshop is 170 EUR per person, and that covers your 3-hour session, all materials, tools and guidance. Optional extras, the lost-wax process and gold plating, are priced separately and detailed below.
Is there a minimum age to take part?
There's no set minimum age. We welcome participants of most ages, provided they're comfortable working with tools at the bench under guidance. If you're booking for a younger participant, get in touch beforehand so we can make sure it's the right fit.
What should I wear or bring to the workshop?
Everything you need is provided, including an apron, tools and materials, so there's nothing to bring along. It's genuinely hands-on work and can get a little dusty, so we'd suggest wearing something comfortable you don't mind getting a little bit messy and tying back long hair if you have it.
How many people are in each ring making workshop?
Never more than four. Where most ring-making workshops are built around larger groups, ours are deliberately kept small.
This means Paula can be present with each person through every stage, adjusting the process and making sure the ring you create feels genuinely yours.
Can I bring a friend to the workshop?
Please do. Friends, partners and family are welcome to join, each making their own ring alongside you at the same bench.
This is a hands-on session, and our Atelier is intimate, so every guest needs to be a participant with their own paid spot. Add the matching quantity to your bag when booking to reserve a place for everyone in your group.
Can I make my ring using the lost-wax process?
Yes, we offer ring making workshops using the lost-wax process, and this is a two-part experience, as the wax model needs to be cast into silver between sessions.
The workshop fee covers both sessions, but the silver and casting are charged separately on the day of your second session. The silver will be priced by the weight of your ring, based on the daily quotation, and the casting fee will be calculated according to its final weight.
If you'd like to use the lost-wax process, leave a note with your order when booking so we know in advance and can prepare accordingly.
Prefer to try it from home? Our Ring Kit uses the same traditional lost-wax casting method to create a ring at your own pace, no Atelier visit required.
Can I have my ring gold plated instead of silver?
Yes, gold plating is available as an optional extra. It's applied at the end of the workshop, once your ring is finished, for an additional 18 EUR paid on the day.
What language is the workshop taught in?
English or Portuguese, whichever feels most comfortable for you.
Where in Lisbon is the silver ring workshop held?
Our silver ring workshop takes place at our Atelier, nestled in the heart of Lisbon, Portugal, near Avenida de Roma.
What if none of the available days or times work for me?
Regular silver ring making sessions take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 2pm or 6pm. If none of those slots work for you, we're happy to arrange a custom time that suits your schedule whenever possible.

What if I need to reschedule my workshop booking?
Plans can change. Contact us at least 72 hours in advance, and we'll be happy to accommodate your request based on availability.
Can I cancel my workshop?
Yes, here's our cancellation policy:
Up to 7 days before the scheduled day: full refund
Between 3 and 6 days before: 50% refund
Up to 2 days before: no refund
Can I book a ring making workshop for a private event?
Yes, we offer private silver ring workshops for events, team building and VIP experiences. Get in touch at info@paulavieirajewellery.com so we can discuss group size, format and timing in order to put together a tailored experience for you.
Do you offer other jewellery workshops in Lisbon?
Yes, alongside our silver ring workshop, we also offer a very popular gold ring workshop which is ideal for couples looking to create rings for their upcoming wedding, plus tailored sessions built around specific interests. We also have a special Ring Kit for those not able to join us at the Atelier, which gives you the opportunity to make your own silver ring at home.
