Some of you found us on a trip to Lisbon, fell for a piece in the Atelier, and had to leave it behind. Others discovered our work online and got as far as checkout before realising it wasn't an option. We heard you, and we're glad to finally say yes to shipping our handmade jewellery to customers in the US & Canada.
Every piece we make starts the same way it always has. In our Atelier here in Lisbon, pieces are cast and finished entirely by hand, shaped, set, and polished by the same hands each time, not on a production line. A ring or a pair of earrings from Paula Vieira Jewellery isn't one of thousands; it's one of a small, considered number, made with the kind of attention that gets lost when things are not crafted. We think that's worth something, no matter where you are in the world.
It's an idea we've pushed further with our newest collection, Ida. Every stone in Ida has been chosen on journeys taken over many years, found first on the road and kept until their form was realised back at the bench. Each of the ten pieces has been designed around a single, unrepeatable stone, so no two are ever quite the same. Ida holds that ritual of departure and return at its centre, which feels fitting for a collection that can now travel further than ever, from our Atelier straight to your door in the US or Canada!
